Women love to read romance novels. Romance novels have many tropes, including the covers they are promoted with. The goal was to visually and conceptually play on classic novel covers while creating an ad for Blackout Bingo, a monetized mobile game popular among women. But while we know how romance novels end, this ad has a twist hidden in it, allowing women to find their path to independence.
